Job description:

DIAGNOSTIC / TECHNICAL

• Responsible for giving final Histopathology and cytology and Immuno histochemistry reports daily.
• Handle and report on specimens for frozen section and stereotactic biopsies.
• Supervise grossing of specimens and FNAC, if needed to do the same.

ADMINISTRATIVE WORK

• To see that standard is maintained in all technical work.
• To update methodologies whenever required in consultation with the HOD.
• To assist HOD and all accreditation processes.
• To participate in monthly departmental and consultant meetings.
• To assist in any other activity as required by HOD and Chief of Laboratories whenever necessary.

TEACHING AND CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION

• Organize and conduct teaching schedule for residents which includes slides sessions, seminars.
• Senior Consultant to guide Dissertation work for DNB (Pathology) students.
• Conduct journal club.
• Participate / attend in clinical meetings.
• To present and publish papers.
