Role Description
This is a part-time remote role for an AP Chemistry Online Tutor. The tutor will provide personalized, 1-on-1 online tutoring sessions to high school students preparing for AP Chemistry. Primary responsibilities include explaining core concepts in chemistry, solving problem sets, assisting with exam preparation, and offering feedback to support student progress. The role requires clear communication and the ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles, ensuring student engagement and success.
Qualifications
- Experience in Online Tutoring and strong Communication skills to effectively engage with students in a virtual setting.
- In-depth understanding of Chemistry, specifically AP-level material, including topics in Physical Chemistry.
- Proficiency in Mathematics to support problem-solving in chemistry-related calculations.
- Adaptability to diverse learning styles and a commitment to fostering student confidence and understanding.
- Previous experience teaching or tutoring high school students is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Education, or a related field is a strong advantage.
- Access to a reliable internet connection and familiarity with online teaching tools is a must.
