About the Role:
As the Content Lead at Allen Digital, you will be the guardian of our brand’s voice, tone, and personality, responsible for bringing it to life across all our touchpoints with consumers. You will be at the forefront of defining the brand’s content strategy, ensuring consistency and resonance in messaging across the website, app, marketing communications, social media and digital content, and PR efforts. You will establish efficient content operations, collaborating with external contractors, agencies, or hiring and ensuring the quality, consistency, and alignment of content with our brand identity.
We are seeking a dynamic Content Lead who possesses a unique blend of writing prowess, a deep understanding of consumer needs, and can quickly adapt to evolving business. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, ideally within the consumer tech sector, and the ability to craft content that strikes a balance between conciseness and comprehensiveness.
Responsibilities:
Brand Voice and Content Strategy
● Define and maintain the brand’s voice, tone, and personality guidelines
● Craft a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with Allen Digital’s brand identity
Content Development
● Oversee content creation for various platforms, ensuring relevance, and engagement
● Creating sales collateral to enable student advisors and support product and feature launches
● Collaborate with subject matter experts and educators to curate high-quality academic/non-academic content
● Use data-driven insights to inform content strategy and identify areas for enhancement Content Operations
● Establish streamlined content operations, identifying efficient workflows and best practices
● Manage external contractors and agencies to deliver content on time and within budget
● Implement content review processes and standards for quality and consistency
Cross-functional Collaboration
● Collaborate closely with Marketing, Design, and Product teams to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and content
Skills & Competencies
● 5+ years of experience in content strategy, preferably in consumer tech companies
● Exceptional writing and editing skills with a flair for crafting content that resonates with consumers
● Ability to adapt writing style to meet the unique demands of different platforms
● Strong project management and agency management skills with an adaptable and quick-learning approach
● Experience in defining and maintaining brand voice and tone is a plus
● Familiarity with educational content development is a plus
