- Design and implement a STEAM-based curriculum in collaboration with other STEAM members.
- Use technology to promote learning, creativity, and collaboration.
- Employ a variety of instructional techniques, instructional media, and performance assessments aligned with curriculum goals and student learning.
- Pioneer new initiatives in support of the STEAM program.
- Deliver STEAM instruction through project-based learning methods in person and remotely, if needed.
- Coach teachers on STEAM initiatives and best practices in the field of STEAM.
- Order necessary hardware and help set up staff with software when needed.
- Build STEM events and activities with the Sales and Marketing and Communications Director
- Organize, develop, and coordinate STEAM events and activities in collaboration with families and administration
- Attend professional development and training related to STEAM programs and methodologies, staying abreast of current research.
Requirements
- Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Science, or Education required.
- Minimum 3 years supervisory and/or administrative experience and 3 additional years of classroom teaching experience required.
- Experience in Coding, Robotics, AI/Machine Learning, etc.
- Ability to organize programs and activities required for productive learning in the school.
- Ability to relate to a wide variety of people and to observe, listen, motivate, and provide leadership which results in the best environment.
- Ability to apply critical thinking skills in rendering solutions to various issues.
- Ability to manage financial, material, and human resources effectively.
- Proven ability to make recommendations on various topics, detailed, controversial, simple, or complex.
- Ability to develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate program goals and initiatives.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks successfully, projects and responsibilities.
- Ability to exercise strict confidence in handling sensitive information.
- Must be skilled in collaborative leadership of individuals and groups; and,
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
