Allen Digital’s Engineering team builds the e-Learning platform that powers our students’ experience
and enables them to fulfil their academic goals. We are trying to solve significant problems with
content (video/text/audio / 2D/3D interactive content) – cataloguing, streaming, in-depth search and
discovery, security, and building personalised learning management by personalising plan and
practice paths for each student by deep knowledge graphs, test management and automated
interactive assessments.

We need dynamic managers like you who will solve engineering scale and automation problems and
add intelligence to solve them for millions of students. In this role, we are looking for a passionate,
hard-working, and talented Engineering Manager who can build and lead a team of senior engineers
working on innovative & mission-critical software and services. Your role will involve mentoring them
individually and as a team, building engineering and collaborative culture, helping them thrive, and
delivering significant value to Students and Teachers. In addition, your technical experience provides
guidance and best practices to the team, ensuring delivery quality and timeliness.
Your Responsibilities:
● Be a member of a small group of people to think, strategize and execute a transformation
for a cause.
● Define a technology roadmap for the product you will own.
● Set up, measure and optimize engineering processes for productivity.
● Hire and build teams, influence the people processes for the continuous evolution of the
team
● Mentor and develop engineers for effective delivery of business goals
● Manage operations to monitor and ensure SLA adherence and continuous reduction in
KTLO
● Collaborate with Academics, Product Managers, Content Operations and Business team
members.
Desired Skills & Experience:
● 10+ years of experience in software product development.
● You thrive in building and developing great teams, people and products
● Learner and looking to explore uncharted territories to solve problems.
● Must have a degree in Computer Science or a related field. Strong understanding of
object-oriented programming, design patterns, and distributed systems.
● You are either an experienced manager or a senior individual contributor with strong
people skills and leadership experience.
● Passionate about software engineering best practices
● Hands-on technical leader with a minimum of 2 years of experience in people management.
● A proven track record of leading the architecture and delivery in a consumer internet
domain.
● Must have exposure to leading product development and engineering practices and
developing systems & web applications from scratch.
● Experience in distributed systems, highly scalable products, performance & reliability.
