Position: Technical Architect

Background to the role

VisionIAS is seeking a passionate Technical Architect to help us build the industry’s most
comprehensive and scalable Platform. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving hard problems, coaching engineers on writing high quality and scalable code, can write code themselves, and inspires us to build and improve our architecture. You will guide the technical approaches for several projects at once, working with our engineers to craft a system that is scalable, reliable and delightful to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Own software architecture and technical approach across the platform.
Design and architect distributed, scalable systems.
Code and Build platforms and frameworks.
Lead the overall architecture of multiple products across VisionIAS.
Collaborate with the engineering team to drive key design decisions, document / communicate architectural expectations and ensuring alignment.
Hold engineers to the highest expectations, and provide feedback on code and architectural approaches implemented by the team.
Help teams disassemble and address complex technical issues.
Know the latest industry trends, and evaluate new technologies for appropriateness of applications.
Ensure software components have a clear separation of concerns yet still function smoothly as a concerted group.

THE POSITION

Qualifications: 10+ Years of experience in an architect role with Computer Science or Engineering degree.

Skill Set

10+ years experience building highly performant software applications.
Excellent programming and design skills.
Substantial experience in building distributed SaaS systems.
Should have worked on high scale system or should have managed a high scale system.
Should have experience building fault tolerant systems having 99.9% availability.
Good understanding of working with large datasets in real time environment
Technical curiosity wanting to understand how things work and how they could work better.
Customer-first and results-first mindset and the ability to make practical choices when making engineering choices.
Should have hands-on experience of public clouds such as AWS.
