Description

An outstanding record of teaching English lessons from Elementary through to High School. He/She will be responsible for the teaching of reading, writing, and speaking skills. Ultimately, an English Teacher should engage students in meaningful and fun activities, creating an environment conducive to learning. The teacher would be responsible to guide and be a part of other general activities of the school like culturals, sports day events, hostel duties etc. Evening hostel duties would be for 3-4 hours on any weekday specified by the school which consist of managing and assisting the residential students. A candidate with english background and teaching experience would be preferred. Air fare upto INR 50,000 will be provided for round trip at the start and completion of the full internship duration. Native English speakers would have an added advantage.
Entire month of May would be a vacation, no classes are to be taken and no salary would be paid for that month.

Working hours

Monday to Saturday, 09:00am – 4:00pm

1. Teach basic English skills including reading, writing, and speaking.

2. Compose lesson plans in order to successfully incorporate the full duration of each lesson.

3. Execute lessons efficiently using different styles of teaching like roleplays,

drama etc and assist students in creating their own dramatic pieces, organizing and managing the learning environment, directing performance rehearsals depending on the content.

4. Engage students to ensure a lively classroom atmosphere.

5. Instruct students about the structure and content of the English language.

6. Teach students the spelling of words, and their meanings.

7. Emphasize the rules of composition, grammar and sentence construction.

8. Teach students the correct pronunciation of words.

9. Teach students to think critically when studying literature and poetry.

10. Teach students to analyze and question media reports, advertisements, and news reports.
