Grades- 9 & 10th Education Qualification – B.Ed. Job Responsibilities – Instruct and mentor individual applied technology and computer science majors as they work their way through each departments’ undergraduate programs Assist department staff in managing and maintaining the university’s main computer lab, working rotating shifts to ensure it remains open for students during both day and evening hours Coordinate with faculty as well as outside personnel in discussing research opportunities, and represent department in requesting funding from university finance department and private donors Organize, maintain and manage class systems in proper working condition. Teach students and learners to use computers. Design and develop appropriate computer instructional material. Manage and monitor student behavior. Initiate and implement systems, procedures and other student management issues. Develop and implement lesson plans and classroom activities in consistent with the student management issues. Conduct group training sessions. Determine and troubleshoot technology services for staff. Coordinate and collaborate with lead teacher, principal and instructional coaches.Integrate special lesson plans with core academic curriculum. Planning lessons and activities that facilitate students’ acquisition of basic and advanced computer skills. Instructing in a manner that develops students’ confidence in their abilities. Observing and managing classroom dynamics. Invigilating and grading projects, quizzes, and examinations. Tracking and communicating students’ advancement throughout the course. Ensuring that the computer laboratory remains free from food and drink at all times. Downloading important software updates and maintaining hardware. Attending parent-teacher and faculty conferences
