Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Academic Counselor located in Bengaluru. The Academic Counselor will engage with students to provide academic and career counseling, evaluate their interests and capabilities, and guide them in making informed educational and career decisions. The role includes conducting one-on-one sessions, creating customized academic plans, and ensuring students are aware of all available resources to support their academic journey. Collaboration with faculty and other staff to enhance the student advising process is also a key responsibility.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Student Counseling and Career Counseling to help students navigate their academic and professional paths effectively.
• Strong Communication skills to actively listen, build trust, and convey clear, concise advice to students and stakeholders.
• Experience in Academic Advising and Education to assist students in planning their academic goals and understanding program requirements.
• Ability to build relationships with students and maintain a supportive and approachable demeanor.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to manage multiple students and their unique needs effectively.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Science, or a related field is required; advanced degrees and certifications in counseling are a plus.
• Familiarity with the design industry and educational programs is advantageous.
