The vision of the company for the next 10 years is to expand our group of schools into 50 schools across India.Role DescriptionThis is a full time on-site role as the Head of Human Resources at ABS GROUP OF SCHOOLS located in mount road, Chennai. The Head of Human Resources will be responsible for overseeing the HR department and leading the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs. The successful candidate will ensure legal compliance with education and employment laws, oversee employee relations, and manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle – hiring, on-boarding, training, offer letters, contracts and exit interviews. Handle attendance of employees and intimation to relevant authorities and staff. Draft SOP’s for each and every department with guidance of management and HR Director. Conduct employee wellness activities across our organisations. Create effective review systems along with secretary of group of schools. Handle appointment of employees / teachers / senior employees and work closely with management.QualificationsExtensive knowledge and experience in Human Resources (HR) and HR ManagementExperience in creating and implementing HR policies and procedures along with HR DirectorStrong background in employee relations and conflict resolutionOversee and manage talent acquisition, engagement and talent hiringConduct interviews for potential candidates for every academic year and succession planningUnderstand the roles and responsibilities of all candidates and assess candidates from time to time.Workload – Workflow managementExperience in handling attendance and payrollExcellent communication, management, and organisational skillsExtensive experience with HR software and systemsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree preferred and experience working in education sector is not mandatory but is preferred.Relevant HR certifications such as SHRM-CP or PHR are a plus
