Role Description The Assistant Professor CyberSecurity (Contract) will deliver high-quality cybersecurity instruction, focusing on practical, lab-based learning and real-world case studies. In this hybrid role based in Lucknow, the individual will teach in-person sessions and workshops while also supporting learners through virtual classes, mentoring, and online doubt-clearing. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and updating course content, designing assignments and labs (including CTF-style exercises), evaluating student performance, and providing constructive feedback. The role also involves collaborating on curriculum development aligned with global standards, contributing to HackWithSmile.in events, and engaging with the local cyber community through bootcamps, seminars, and awareness initiatives. This is a contract position that requires flexibility to work both on-site and from home as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in core cybersecurity domains such as networking fundamentals, ethical hacking, digital forensics, web and network security, and cloud security.
- Hands-on experience with lab design, CTF environments, practical cybersecurity tools (e.g., Kali Linux, Wireshark, Burp Suite, SIEM tools), and simulated attack–defense scenarios.
- Proven ability to teach, mentor, and facilitate learning for students and early-career professionals, including experience with workshops, bootcamps, or academic instruction.
- Familiarity with industry standards and certifications (e.g., CEH, Security+, CHFI, CISSP, or equivalent) and the ability to align teaching outcomes with such frameworks.
- Strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics in clear, accessible language.
- Experience with blended and online learning platforms, LMS tools, and virtual lab environments for delivering hybrid or remote instruction.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field; relevant industry certifications are highly desirable.
