Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating the all-round development of all children, enabling them to reach their full potential
  • Supporting the development of the children within the EYFS curriculum
  • Key Person role for a group of children, actively communicating with team members
  • Creating an inclusive environment for both the staff, students and parents/careers
  • Utilising a range and balance of planning, teaching, assessment (recording and reporting) strategies
  • Monthly/weekly/daily learning outcome goals and implementing into daily classroom practise
  • Execute the general plan of monthly/weekly/daily goals and lead and supervise planned activities as advised from Lead Teacher
  • Using a variety of resources representing multiple perspectives and addressing the individual needs of children with different levels and types of ability
  • Producing accurate and effective observations to assess the children’s progress and its effectiveness
  • Producing termly evaluation reports for designated key children and termly parents reports
  • Be accessible and available as a point of contact for parents or careers.
  • Observing and updating the child’s care record and tracking their development within the Nursery
  • Responding sensitively to child’s feelings and behaviours and meeting emotional needs
  • Providing reassurance to new children to enable smooth transition into nursery
  • Empowering children to feel responsible and involving them actively in their own learning
  • Supporting physical needs of child not limited to nappy changing, toileting and dressing, settling to sleep, giving milk, fostering positive behaviour

Requirements

Ideal candidate can be a fresher or have have 2 years of similar work experience.

The successful candidate will be expected to undergo a background check and provide references.
