Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Academic Coordinator based in Kolkata. The Academic Coordinator will oversee and design academic curriculums, provide guidance and support to students, and monitor educational program effectiveness. Responsibilities will include collaborating with teachers to ensure quality instruction, managing academic schedules, and maintaining communication with students and parents to address academic needs. The role demands organizational skills to optimize student learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities :
A. Training & Development
1. Design and deliver engaging professional development programs tailored for online tutoring environments.
2. Conduct virtual workshops, webinars, and coaching sessions focusing on effective online pedagogy, curriculum updates, and digital classroom management.
3. Promote and implement innovative teaching methodologies, including the use of digital tools and blended learning strategies.
B. Tutor Support & Mentorship
1. Provide ongoing mentorship and feedback to tutors to enhance their instructional skills and adaptability to various curricula, including CBSE, ICSE, GCSE, Advanced Placement (AP), and IB.
2. Develop individualized improvement plans for tutors and monitor their progress.
3. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth among the tutoring team.
C. Curriculum & Instructional Design
1. Collaborate with academic teams to refine curricula, ensuring alignment with educational standards and learning objectives.
2. Adapt content to meet diverse needs of our student base.
3. Ensure alignment of training programs with institutional goals.
D. Assessment & Evaluation
1. Assess the effectiveness of tutor training programs through feedback, observation, and performance metrics.
2. Utilize data-driven insights to refine training strategies and improve learning outcomes.
3. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement.
4. Work closely with the operations team, academic leaders, and external educational partners to enhance tutor development initiatives.
5. Stay updated with the latest trends in online education and incorporate best practices.
Qualifications & Skills
1. Master’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field (preferred).
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in teaching, instructional coaching, or educational leadership, preferably in an online education setting.
3. Strong knowledge of adult learning theories, curriculum development, and online pedagogical strategies.
4. Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
5. Ability to analyze training effectiveness and implement improvements.
6. Proficiency with educational technology and learning management systems.
