Progressive Teachers for Primary School Teacher Role Background:
At Redbricks School, we believe in a balanced progressive teaching approach and have developed our own unique curriculum until Class 6. From Class 7 onwards, students follow the ICSE curriculum. We are on the lookout for teaching candidates who have a deep passion for education and who can understand and implement the unique pedagogy of the school.
Qualifications:
● For teaching in Grades 1 to 3: Graduation in any stream is required; B.ed is preferred, but not compulsory (Subjects: EVS & English)
Job Type: Full-time based in Ahmedabad
Role and Responsibilities:
1. Planning the curriculum and lesson plans.
2. Implementing progressive teaching methods to foster meaningful learning.
3. Understanding and guiding student behavior through positive guidance techniques.
4. Conducting ongoing assessment methods to gauge and support student learning.
5. Engaging in parent communication, collaboration and education for a two-way school-home partnership.
6. Collaborating with other teachers for developing a well-coordinated and high quality system.
7. Reflecting on teaching and gaining new knowledge through various professional development opportunities.
8. Contributing to school-wide activities such as events, celebrations, extra-curricular projects, SEL initiatives, etc., based on own talents and interests.
Required Skills: ● Subject Content knowledge and skills, ● Pedagogical knowledge of progressive methods, ● Effective Communication Skills, ● Technological skills Preferred Skills: ● Critical, creative, and reflective thinking skills ● Multi-tasking, planning, and organizing skills ● High Emotional Intelligence (Self awareness, Self Management, Social Skills & Collaboration skills, Adaptability and Flexibility)
