Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Commerce Mentor (Fin-tech) role based in Bengaluru. The Commerce Mentor will guide learners from commerce and related backgrounds in understanding core concepts of finance, financial markets, banking, and the fundamentals of financial technology. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging sessions, mentoring students on concepts such as payments, digital banking, risk, compliance basics, and financial products, and simplifying complex topics into learner-friendly explanations. The mentor will also create or refine learning materials, assessments, and case studies, track learner progress, provide constructive feedback, and support interview and job-readiness preparation. The role requires close collaboration with the academic and product teams to continuously improve curriculum quality and learner outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in commerce and finance, with knowledge of topics such as accounting basics, financial statements, markets, and banking operations.
• Understanding of key fintech concepts, including digital payments, neobanking, lending platforms, wallets, cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology and emerging financial technologies.
• Ability to design and deliver structured learning sessions, including lesson planning, curriculum breakdown, and creation of practice exercises and case studies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, analytical skills and classroom facilitation skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas in simple, clear language.
• Experience mentoring, teaching, or training students or early-career professionals, preferably in commerce, finance, or fintech domains.
• Comfort with using digital tools for content delivery, learner tracking, and reporting; familiarity with online learning platforms is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to guide learners through practical scenarios, assignments, and interview questions.
• Master’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications in finance or fintech are a plus.
• Commitment to inclusive, learner-centric mentoring and the ability to work effectively with diverse learner groups.
