Job Description

GGIS is seeking a warm, energetic, and child-centred Pre-Primary Teacher for the Pimpri campus to create a joyful early-learning environment for young children. Consistent with common school vacancy language for pre-primary roles, the position focuses on nurturing foundational literacy and numeracy, social-emotional growth, classroom routines, parent communication, and a safe, stimulating learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate, engaging learning experiences for pre-primary students using stories, rhymes, activities, play-based methods, and guided classroom interaction.
• Build a warm, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports curiosity, confidence, and a love for learning.
• Support children’s foundational development in language, early numeracy, communication, motor skills, behaviour, and social interaction.
• Manage daily routines such as arrival, transitions, activity time, snack time, dispersal, and general classroom readiness with patience and consistency.
• Observe student progress and maintain basic records, portfolios, or developmental notes for academic and pastoral follow-up.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding classroom routines, child progress, and support needs constructively and professionally.
• Contribute to school events, celebrations, assemblies, and collaborative planning with colleagues as part of the broader early-years program.
• Maintain high standards of child safety, well-being, hygiene awareness, and classroom care at all times.

Qualifications

• Diploma, bachelor’s degree, certification, or equivalent preparation in early childhood education, education, child development, psychology, or a related field is preferred; candidates from other educational backgrounds with strong relevant experience may also be considered.
• Prior experience in preschool, nursery, kindergarten, daycare, early-years teaching, or child-development settings is preferred.
• Strong understanding of play-based learning, child-friendly communication, and age-appropriate classroom engagement.
• Warmth, patience, observation skills, and the ability to create a secure and positive classroom environment.
