The current role is for a UK university which is a member of the Russell Group of 24 leading UK research-intensive universities

The role of the Education counsellor is:

• To understand career requirements of the students and counsel them and parents(if required) to offer subject matter expertise for specific courses of the university.
• Conduct detailed profile assessment of the students, recruit unconditionally, and guide them to the suitable course.
• Counsel students and generate leads related to the courses offered by the university.
• Respond to inquiries from students, parents and agents regarding international student programs offered by subject university
• Assist students in admission application and visa formalities
• Participate in education fairs, represent the university, telephonic follow-ups, and closure of prospects.
• Work with the Education team to develop annual marketing plan and establish yearly travel proposal.
• Establish travel itineraries and complete necessary travel documents.
• Develop relationships with overseas agents, conduct agent visits for training and deliver presentations in schools.
• Work directly with the Admissions Specialist to help problem solve admission issues.

EXPERIENCE/KEY SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

• Minimum of 4-5 years of professional experience in overseas education counselling/recruitment.
• Experience of working with overseas education agency is a must
• Preference will be given to the candidates with experience of recruiting and counselling students for UK market.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
