Roles and Responsibilities

Do you speak German fluently and have a passion for teaching? Then you’ve come to the right place! For our outstanding German online language courses we are looking for committed teachers who would like to teach German on a high level to youngsters and adults!

Tasks

• Teaching German from level A1 – B2 on a professional level – in all aspects (speaking, listening, writing and reading)
• Preparing lessons that meet core objectives and principles and are in line with the curriculum goals and related to the German culture
• Developing additional course materials for students (handouts, essays and additional homework assignments)
• Evaluating students performances, including grading homework assignments, tests and making note of how well students participate in discussions
• Teaching grammar and syntax, vocabulary and word usage and other principles of the German language
• develop students verbal skills including reading out loud, discussion and debate
• develop students writing, listening and reading skills with appropriate additional tasks
• encourage the development of critical thinking skills
• create a safe and flexible classroom environment for students to ensure an optimal learning environment
• help student to work independently and collaboratively in groups
• Daily update of attendance sheet
• Participating in online workshops and special events
• Speaking with students parents to inform them of their childs progress in the classroom

Language courses

German A1 – B2 + exam preparation (Goethe, Telc and SD)

Time and Duration

Option A – Standard German language course

Monday – Friday (2h per day per course ~ 104h in total)

Option B – Intensive German language course

Monday – Friday (4h per day per course ~ 104h in total)

Requirements

• Proven German language level of C1/C2 or native speaker
• Relevant DaF training
• Bachelor’s degree in teaching
• Proven record as (online) tutor
• Experience in creating comprehensive resources and materials tailored to student needs
• High speed internet connection
• Dynamic, reliable, patient and enthusiastic personality
