The OpportunitySannam S4 is seeking to appoint an ambitious, dynamic team player to support The University of Queensland in enhancing its capacity to engage internationally, and to strengthen the University’s associations

The role’s primary focus will be supporting the University in its student recruitment activities in India

Other responsibilities include serving as a central point in India in support of university recruitment, partnership advancement, academic and research programs

Additional responsibilities include: Planning and developing regional office services, programs, fundraising, activities, budgets and policies and assisting with the development of long-range and short-term strategic planning

The position involves frequent, sophisticated interaction with international clients and significant travel time will be required

Candidates should also have strong interpersonal skills and should have the ability to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders in the education sectors.As the candidate will be working remotely with UQ’s on-campus team, staff and advisers across countries, he/she should be highly organized, self-motivated and comfortable working with differences in time zones and will have to demonstrate initiative

The post-holder will also help develop and maintain new relationships within the education communities in the region and support promotional campaigns and events.This role will require the candidate to travel to support and execute student recruitment events to cities within India therefore he/she is expected to be flexible to work during the weekends and evenings and be resilient

They may be additional travel required to visit the University (at least once a year).The Senior Recruitment Adviser will manage the work on a full-time basis under the direction of the Senior Country Adviser

The duties outlined below are a guide to the type of work that the role holder will initially be required to undertake but may vary in detail depending on the successful candidate’s particular skills and experience.Job PurposeThe primary purpose of the Senior Recruitment Adviser – India is to manage and grow study diversity for our client’s campuses in Australia.Main ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Recruitment Adviser, your role will include the following:1.Agent ManagementDevelop and coordinate portfolio of Agents and Schools to achieve KPI’s.Prepare an annual agent training plan, update presentations based on program priorities and knowledge gaps, and assist to organise and deliver training sessions as directed by the Manager.Schedule and organise faculty visits and academic seminars with agents.With advice from the Manager, develop an agent visit schedule or the University of Queensland agent conference in-country for faculty staff and academics meetings, agent training, student presentations and guest lectures 2.SchoolsContribute to the preparation and implementation of events and visits as part of an annual program to reach school counsellors, and parent and student groups.Arrange school-based competitions to promote knowledge on key global topics where the University of Queensland has strength.Assist to organise school counsellor visits to Australia, as required

3.RecruitmentWork closely with the Manager to develop an annual recruitment plan and budget to meet targeted growth.Assist in the development of the annual recruitment event calendar and assist in event arrangements including booking venues/booths, arranging speakers and invitations, arranging appointments for academics and the University of Queensland staff, arranging marketing collateral with the Marketing Manager.Assist to prepare and deliver presentations on the University of Queensland programs and benefits of international education to career goals to student / parent / school groups.Execute a Conversion Activities plan, for agent recruited and direct students– as requested by the Manager.Assist the Senior Country Adviser with recruitment activities related to UQ articulation partner universities

4.MarketingProvide input in to appropriate marketing collateral tailored to the Indian marketAssist with social media initiatives to target student segments and other marketing content directed by the Manager

5.Market IntelligenceAssist in the gathering intelligence for the Manager and present in a report on:entry requirement issuescompetitor activities and programsprogram gaps and opportunities

6.OtherEnsure a strong knowledge of the requirements of the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000, the National Code 2007 and associated legislation, and related responsibilities and procedures developed by the University of Queensland
