As the school continues to grow, we are looking for outstanding, creative and passionate Teaching Assistants for our KG & Primary departments.

Successful applicants will have the following:
Bachelor degree and a certified teaching qualification.

Experience teaching in an International curriculum school is desired, IB experience is essential.

The desire to provide outstanding teaching and learning.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills is needed to work closely with students and parents.

Aspiration to work in a world class school with real prospects for enhancing their career.

A creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom.

Familiar with school systems and strong IT skills.

Key Responsibilities

Embrace and encourage the ethos and standards of excellence as defined in the GEMS Core Values.

Assist the teacher with academic related activities.

Run small group activities inside or outside the classroom as directed by the teacher.

Prepare and tidy up classroom activities. Mount work displays and assist with preparation of displays.

Photocopy documents and assist with preparation of worksheets etc as requested.

Responsible for covering class of time in emergency situations.

Tidy and rearrange stock cupboards and distribute new stock.

Develop familiarity with relevant aspects of the curriculum eg literacy, numeracy and Phonetics.

Support Extra curricular activities

Initiate effort and energy beyond the typical work day, where the tasks require additional commitment.

Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required.
