The candidate should be able to strengthen the Ontario Tech University’s network, associations and partnerships in India, formulate and implement the Student Recruitment Strategy and its ambitions to significantly grow student recruitment from India.This position will require the candidate to ensure that the on-the-ground delivery of the intervention is focused towards achieving the mutually agreed objectives and targets in India.The focus of this position will be student recruitment and conversion
This will include working directly with prospective and current students as well as other key stakeholders including agents, schools, alumni, and institutional partners
In the above regard, the candidate will be expected to provide assistance in recruitment coordination services throughout India
The post-holder will also help develop and maintain new relationships within the education communities across India and support promotional campaigns and events.The position will involve domestic travel or/and attend online events; therefore he/she is expected to be flexible to work during the weekends and evenings and be resilient
As the candidate will be working remotely with the University’s on-campus team, staff, and advisers across countries, he/she should be highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working with differences in time zones.The candidate will work on a full-time basis and will have to demonstrate initiative
These duties are a guide to the type of work that the role holder will initially be required to undertake but may vary in detail depending on the successful candidate’s particular skills and experience.We are looking for someone based in either New Delhi/MumbaiMain ResponsibilitiesAs the Recruitment Adviser, you will be assigned to support recruitment and conversion activities for clients
You will be required to develop, refine, implement, support and, at the conclusion of each recruitment cycle, retrospectively evaluate the effectiveness of Ontario Tech University ’s marketing and recruitment strategy in India.You will provide assistance to the university’s international office at all stages of their student recruitment process, including maintaining of best practices and confidentiality of university data
You will be engaged in delegated marketing and outreach activities, database maintenance, and other initiatives undertaken by the client to enhance their footprint in India.As the Recruitment Adviser, you will be assigned to support recruitment and conversion activities for clients

You will be engaged in delegated marketing and outreach activities, database maintenance, and other initiatives undertaken by the client to enhance their footprint in India.Specifically you will:1.Assist in developing the marketing and recruitment strategy for each recruitment cycle2.Carry out the day-to-day activity required to realize the objectives of this marketing and recruitment strategy: attending exhibitions, undertaking school and college visits, visiting agencies, etc.3.Expand, extend and enhance applicant experience4.Collaborate with internal university stakeholders5.Develop positive relationships with key stakeholders in India such as education agents, prospective students, school high school counsellors and partners
Provide regular and updated market intelligence to the university and feedback to marketing and recruitment teamsRecruitment1.Develop and maintain a calendar of recruitment activity for each cycle, this to include agency fairs, school and college visits, and other recruitment-oriented activity in India2.Provide prompt, comprehensive, accurate pre-admission information and counselling to ensure that students apply to programmes that are commensurate with their academic potential and career goals3.Engage in a professional manner with students (and with parents/guardians, etc.) at all stages of the recruitment journey
Provide student counselling support and advise them on the admission process; and university updates.4.Promptly respond to all queries and follow up on all admission related matters via telephone, email, and face to face interactions5.Ensure excellent ‘customer service’ by answering all enquiries from prospective students and parents
Call the students met during the recruitment fairs and focus on building the application database6.Organising Pre-departure and welcome seminars for accepted students7.Attend recruitment focused outreach and education events (both online and in person), tradeshows, conferences, webinars, virtual events and others, and represent the university as and when required8.Maintain accurate and updated data from events and campaigns and ensure updating in university’s CRM9.Actively support and build positive working relationships with Ontario Tech’s agency partners and their counsellor teams
Maintain a regular line of communication, provide necessary information, training and support, review agent performance and provide feedback to the university10.Actively engage with school counsellors and conduct school visits pan India, making presentations to groups of students, or one-to-one counselling, and building and expanding relationships with schools network11.Proactively develop and maintain positive working relationships and explore innovative ways of engagement with key external stakeholders in India: education agencies, edtech groups, schools, sponsorship bodies, accreditation bodies, alumni12.Conduct market research by gathering information about India high schools, school counsellors, competitor institutions and their entry requirements13.Assist in planning and delivering Ontario Tech University’s events (online/in-person) and information sessions, assist with localized content and promotions and maintain database for follow up14.Carry-out post-activity follow-up, including compiling data on student leads, and preparing and submitting reports on outcomes to the University.Branding and Marketing 1.Assist in formulating marketing and communication strategies and identifying opportunities to increase brand awareness/market visibility in the Indian market2.Liaise with Ontario Tech University ’s digital marketing team with respect to India-specific digital and social media marketing3.Provide informed input into branding, design and content of India-specific marketing collateral, print and digital4.Proactively engage in social media activities and campaignsOthers1.Liaise and coordinate with appropriate internal including IT, HR, Administration as and when required2.Support towards online research, gathering market intel, presentations, updating databases, information management, events and conferences3.Work on budget and costings for project(s) and keep a track of project expenses4.Assist in planning and supporting visits from academic staff and senior management of Ontario Tech University
Book venues for information sessions, events and schedule visits for university representatives, sending confirmations, pre-booking hotel, and arranging ground transportation as necessary5.Assist in preparation and submission of reports and review collated statistics to inform planning, as requested by university staff6.Any other duties as directed, commensurate with the scope and classification of the position.
