Assist with teaching dance programs making sure to take attendance and demonstrate proper skills. • Arrive to work at least 10 minutes prior to class and be prepared for class to begin. • Complete time sheets accurately, specifically, and promptly prior to payroll end. • Use age appropriate language and music to teach class, keeping a positive attitude. • Use appropriate classroom management skills to maintain control of the class. • Remain in communication with coordinators/supervisors including checking email daily
Responsibilities:

Dress appropriately for the type of class you are teaching. • Communicate parent/student concerns with supervisor immediately. • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Dance Coordinator and/or Supervisor. • Promote Character Counts and the Six Pillars of Character to all participants. • Be prepared to take over (lead) class in the event that the lead Supervisor is unable to teach last minute. Make sure to have music and agenda for each class. • Perform all job tasks within the rules and guidelines of the park district’s safety programs. • Work as a team player with co-workers and in conjunction with other departments.
