Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and experienced PGT English Teacher to teach Cambridge International AS & A Level English Language and/or English Literature. The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, developing students’ critical thinking, analytical writing, communication, and literary appreciation skills, while ensuring excellent academic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Teach Cambridge International AS & A Level English Language and English Literature.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum and assessment objectives.
• Prepare students for internal assessments, coursework, projects, and board examinations.
• Evaluate student performance through assignments, presentations, tests, and assessments.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and parents regarding academic progress.
• Encourage reading habits, analytical thinking, public speaking, and creative writing skills.
• Support co-curricular and extracurricular activities such as debates, literature clubs, drama, and writing competitions.
• Collaborate with faculty members and school leadership to improve academic outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student development.
• Required Skills
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in English Literature / English Language from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Cambridge AS & A Level teaching certification/training preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in AS & A Level English or equivalent international curriculum.
- Strong command of spoken and written English
