Brief Job Description:

• Recommend the value proposition of each program based on competition mapping.
• You will need to work on building and promoting the reputation of the school of design, both internally and externally.
• You will need to work to improve the satisfaction of faculty and students with their experience at the school of design.
• Communicate effectively the Vision and Mission to the staff, students and the wider community and accordingly develop and communicate vision and mission statements for the Department.
• Identify the Uncertainty prevailing in the market related to the programs of the school of design and recommend investment decisions for each program (existing / new).
• Responsible for the preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report of programs within the school of design and conducting meetings of Boards of Studies to provide appropriate assessment and input.
• You will work with the President to ensure that the school of design meets the requirements for national and international accreditations in a timely manner.
• You will need to work with other departments within the university, such as placement, finance, and human resources, International Relations and IQAC to ensure that the School of Design is functioning effectively within the larger university ecosystem.
• Encourage Research & Development based on the course design and engage local communities/ government bodies and industries.
• Monitoring curriculum, organization and operation such that these are reflected in the Departments programs and courses.To update on international trends and development in the field of Management education and to ensure that these are reflected in Departments programs and policies.
• Coordinating the professional development of the staff.
• Conduct Annual Performance Appraisal of the staff of the Department and provide feedback to the faculty and staff.
• Providing recommendations to the President on policies and procedures, especially in the academic area.
• Preparing and administering the Departments academic program budgets, including determining staffing and operational needs. Regularly assessing the operational budget against plan and make appropriate recommendations.
• Representing the organization positively and effectively at professional forums to enhance the brand image of the University.
• Any other duties and responsibilities assigned.

Required Qualification: Master Degree with Ph.D. In the relevant field

(Apparel Design, textile and Clothing Science , Pattern Marketing and Garment

Construction, Fashion Illustrations & CAD, product Design, UX/UI and Interior

Design)

Preference: Ph.D. from IITs/NIDs

Experience: Professor in the reputed University and 10 to 20 years academics

Remuneration – As per 7th Pay Commission
