Job Title: Head – Innovation Partner Head – Teacher Training Academy Role type – Individual Contributor Reports to – Director, ITTI Educational qualification: A Postgraduate in the area of Education – M. Ed or M.A.(Education) or equivalent from a tier 1 institute Required Skill set : At least 7 years of experience in designing research and impact studies in the field of education – with a not for profit, Development institute, Teacher training department of a university or DIET/SCERT Preferred Experience in driving innovation in school education Some teaching experience Experience with EdTech industry or Technology in Education International experience in the areas of education Roles and Responsibilities The role is expected to build the ITTI knowledge base, establish it as the leading thought leader and innovator in the teacher training and education domains. The role would entail the following – Develop sectoral and institutional Knowledge – Develop templates and systems to Gather multiple sources of quantitative and qualitative data about teaching practice (e.g. performance on assignments, scores on observation rubrics, comments during one-on-one conversations, teacher trainee demeanor during class sessions or coaching meetings) and analyze data to identify emerging strengths and weaknesses Identify root causes and prioritize areas of practice for improvement Collect and analyze data from multiple sources to identify strengths and areas of growth in teacher training and innovation practice Observe and incorporate best practices from colleagues and other effective teacher educators globally to improve ITTI practice regularly Disaggregate data and study systematically for patterns of inequity in teacher training performance; if patterns of inequity emerge, implement strategies in consultation with the ITTI director to address these results Actively pursue research and writing that offers different and varied perspectives using field data of training, practice, and teaching methods at ITTI Develop knowledge systems Internalisation – Create systems and processes for data collection, templates, frequency, and outputs in consultation with the ITTI director and faculty Provide inputs for the ITTI website and teacher digital platform Externalisation – Develop collaterals and innovations in a report/outcome format for publication on website and dissemination Identifying and curating technical website content Socialisation – Work with the ITTI director and faculty to implement innovations Managing website community engagement documenting and sharing learning or engaging partners and learning champions Work with the Director to develop and promote ITTI Journal/Newsletters Identify and establish mechanisms to ensure the sustainability, longevity, and value for money of good practices and innovations Develop knowledge management strategy for ITTI, and innovations around Teaching with Information Communication Technology
