The BitGenome Institute of Technology (BGIT) is a flagship academic and research initiative under UniversIQ Innovations Pvt. Ltd., India, operating as a virtual teaching, training, and research institute. BGIT delivers mentor-guided, practice-driven programs designed to bridge academic rigor with real-world applications. BGIT is structured into two interdisciplinary divisions:
Division of Biological Sciences (DBS), led by Prof. Asim K. Duttaroy, Faculty of Medicine, University of Oslo (Norway)
Division of Software Engineering (DSE), led by Assoc. Prof. Dipankar Dutta, Faculty of Computer Science & Engineering, University of Burdwan (India), focused on engineering-first, industry-aligned software education.
BGIT is co-founded by Subhajit Dutta (Academic Director, BGIT), Faculty of Science, University of Southern Denmark (Denmark), with the vision of building a globally connected, research-infused learning ecosystem.
OPEN FACULTY POSITIONS (DSE)
BGIT invites applications and expressions of interest for Teaching Faculty positions in the Division of Software Engineering (DSE).
BGIT is seeking experienced professionals for the following teaching and mentorship roles:
1. UI / FRONTEND DEVELOPMENT FACULTY
· Strong expertise in Angular, Vue 3, and/or React
· Minimum 6 years of professional experience
· Experience building scalable, maintainable frontend applications
· Ability to teach component-based architecture, state management, and modern UI workflows
2. JAVA & SOFTWARE ENGINEERING FACULTY
· Minimum 6 years of professional experience
· Deep expertise in Java, Data Structures & Algorithms, and core software engineering principles
· Strong understanding of object-oriented design, problem solving, and system thinking
· Ability to guide students in algorithmic reasoning and engineering best practices
3. AI / MACHINE LEARNING FACULTY
· Minimum 5 years of experience in AI/ML
· Strong foundation in machine learning concepts, model development, and evaluation
· Experience with applied ML workflows and real-world use cases
· Ability to teach AI/ML from an engineering and application-oriented perspective
4. CLOUD ENGINEERING FACULTY
· Minimum 5 years of professional experience
· Hands-on expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
· Experience with cloud-native architectures, deployment strategies, and scalability
· Ability to teach practical cloud engineering concepts and best practices
5. DEVOPS FACULTY
· Professional training and hands-on experience in DevOps practices
· Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, version control, and automation tools
· Ability to teach DevOps concepts with real-world engineering context
6. HR & SOFT SKILLS FACULTY
MBA from a reputed university
· 7–8 years of industrial experience in HR, talent development, or corporate training
· Proven experience in grooming candidates in communication, professionalism, and workplace readiness
· Ability to deliver soft-skills training aligned with technical career preparation
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Selected faculty members will:
· Deliver online/live teaching sessions in their area of expertise
· Mentor students through hands-on projects and portfolio development
· Contribute to curriculum delivery under the academic guidance of the Dean, DSE
· Typically contribute 8–10 hours per week, depending on course structure
· This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about teaching, mentoring, and shaping future engineers in a flexible academic environment.
