About the Role-
We are seeking highly qualified and passionate academicians in the field of VLSI Design and Computer Architecture for full-time faculty positions at the level of Assistant Professor/ Associate Professor / Professor.
This role is ideal for candidates with strong expertise in digital systems, processor architecture, RTL design, SoC development, and semiconductor technologies who are enthusiastic about teaching, mentoring, and contributing to cutting-edge academic innovation.
As part of a modern, industry-integrated learning ecosystem at Rishihood University, faculty members will play a key role in shaping the next generation of hardware and semiconductor engineers through research-driven and application-oriented education.
Key Responsibilities
● Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in:
○ Computer Architecture
○ Digital Design & Logic Systems
○ VLSI Design & Verification
○ Microprocessors & Embedded Systems
○ SoC and Processor Design
● Deliver conceptually strong and industry-relevant instruction covering:
○ Instruction Set Architectures (ISA)
○ Pipelining and Parallelism
○ Memory Hierarchy and Cache Systems
○ Datapath & Control Unit Design
○ RTL-to-GDSII Design Flow
○ ASIC/FPGA Design Methodologies
● Guide students through laboratory sessions, RTL simulations, FPGA
implementations, and architecture-focused projects.
● Mentor capstone projects, research initiatives, internships, and technical competitions.
● Design assessments, coursework, and hands-on learning modules aligned with industry applications and emerging semiconductor trends.
● Contribute to curriculum development, academic research, publications, and interdisciplinary collaborations.
● Organise workshops, seminars, hackathons, and expert sessions in collaboration with academia and industry leaders.
● Participate actively in institutional development, accreditation activities, and research initiatives at Rishihood University.
Mandatory Qualifications & Skills
● Ph.D./ M.Tech in Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, VLSI Design, Computer Architecture, or a closely related field
● Strong academic and/or industry experience in one or more of the following areas:
○ Processor Architecture
○ RTL Design & Verification
○ SoC Integration
○ FPGA/ASIC Design
○ High-Performance or Low-Power Computing Systems
● Excellent command over topics such as:
○ Computer Architecture
○ Digital VLSI Design
○ CMOS Circuits
○ Memory Systems
○ Timing Analysis
○ Microprocessor Design
○ Hardware Modelling using Verilog/VHDL/SystemVerilog
● Hands-on experience with industry-standard EDA tools such as:
○ Cadence
○ Synopsys
○ Mentor Graphics
○ ModelSim
○ Xilinx/Vivado
○ Intel Quartus
● Proficiency in scripting/programming languages such as Python, Tcl, Shell scripting, or C/C++.
● Strong communication, presentation, and classroom delivery skills.
● Demonstrated passion for teaching, mentoring, and academic leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
● Prior teaching, faculty, or technical training experience at reputed universities or institutions.
● Research publications in reputed journals/conferences related to VLSI, Computer Architecture, Embedded Systems, or Semiconductor Design.
● Familiarity with:
○ RISC-V or ARM Architectures
○ DFT & Physical Design
○ Verification Methodologies (UVM/SystemVerilog)
○ Embedded and Edge Computing Systems
● Contributions to open-source hardware/software communities, patents, or funded
research projects.
● Experience with LMS platforms, blended learning environments, and modern
pedagogy practices.
