Job Description – Higher Secondary Commerce Teacher (GSEB)AILT Global Academy, Rajkot

Classes: Std. 11 & 12 Commerce (GSEB)
Student Strength: Approximately 24 students per class

Position Title

Commerce Faculty (Accountancy, SPCC, OCM & Economics)

Reporting To

Principal / Higher Secondary Principal

Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Teaching

• Teach Accountancy, SPCC (Statistics for Economics), OCM (Organization of Commerce & Management), and Economics as per GSEB curriculum.
• Prepare annual, monthly, weekly, and daily lesson plans.
• Complete syllabus within the academic calendar timeline.
• Conduct interactive and student-centered classroom sessions.
• Use practical examples, case studies, and business scenarios to improve understanding.

Student Academic Development

• Monitor individual student progress regularly.
• Identify weak learners and provide remedial support.
• Mentor students for Board Examination preparation.
• Encourage analytical thinking and commerce-related practical knowledge.
• Guide students regarding future career opportunities in:
• CA
• CS
• CMA
• B.Com
• BBA
• Entrepreneurship
• Banking & Finance

Assessment & Evaluation

• Prepare unit tests, assignments, worksheets, and model papers.
• Conduct regular assessments and maintain records.
• Evaluate answer sheets fairly and timely.
• Analyze student performance and submit reports.
• Maintain academic records and progress tracking.

Classroom Management

• Maintain discipline and positive learning environment.
• Ensure student participation and engagement.
• Promote punctuality, professionalism, and respect.
• Monitor attendance and follow up on absenteeism.

Parent Communication

• Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTM).
• Communicate academic progress and concerns to parents.
• Maintain constructive relationships with parents.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain:
• Lesson Plans
• Attendance Register
• Assessment Records
• Progress Reports
• Assignment Records
• Board Preparation Reports

Technology Integration

• Use Smart Classroom and digital learning tools.
• Update ERP records when required.
• Prepare presentations and digital learning materials.

Leadership & Institutional Responsibilities

• Participate in school events and functions.
• Support admissions and orientation programs.
• Contribute to academic planning and department meetings.
• Promote AILT values of discipline, leadership, and excellence.

QualificationsEssential

• M.Com / B.Com with relevant specialization.
• B.Ed. preferred.
• Strong command over Commerce subjects.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Preferred

• Experience teaching GSEB Commerce (11th & 12th).
• Board examination handling experience.
• Knowledge of digital teaching methods.
