Job Summary
The Professor and Head of Department (HOD) of Urology leads the clinical, operative, academic, and research initiatives of the Urology department. Key objectives include directing the outpatient department (OPD) and inpatient surgical wards, managing high-volume operative suites, supervising super-specialty trainees, and maintaining institutional and educational infrastructure in line with national regulatory standards.

Minimum Qualifications & Eligibility Criteria
Criteria Standard Requirement Basic Medical Degree MBBS from a recognized medical college. Postgraduate Degree MS or DNB in General Surgery. Super-Specialty Degree MCh or DNB in Urology / Genito-Urinary Surgery. Teaching Experience A minimum of 8 years of post-super-specialty teaching experience, including at least 3 years as a designated Associate Professor in an NMC-recognized/permitted medical teaching institution. (Note: Under the updated regulatory guidelines, senior non-teaching consultants with extensive government hospital experience may also qualify under specific transition pathways).
