• Client Partner Schools need Expert Coding Back-up Teacher to conduct coding classes for Grades 1-12 in the absence of the full-time teacher assigned to them.
• The ideal candidate will have an education background in Computer Science/IT/Coding with a programming skillset (Python/ Java/ HTML/ CSS). Python knowledge is mandatory.

• Should be available physically at the school location and be flexible to take classes based on the school’s schedule in absence of a current full-time teacher till the new teacher joins.

• Should be ready to travel to the school location as & when required. Should act as a Backup teacher for all the schools signed in the respective region.

• The candidate will also possess a keen understanding of the needs of the school students and an appreciation for their everyday struggles and issues with coding who wants to provide students with an exemplary, coding education

Responsibilities

• Act as a Backup teacher for all the schools in the assigned region. Travel to the school location and conduct the classes for the assigned grades.

• Conduct audits on schools in the nearby locations

• Also act as trainers, for other teachers across the country, showcasing leadership skills

• Will be required to travel every month, for 2-3 weeks

• Follow all disciplinary guidelines given by Co. School and maintain a strong working relationship with the students and staff during the teaching period.

• Manage classes carefully to ensure all students are learning in a safe, constructive environment. Focus on concept clarification of the students.

Spend a few hours daily to prepare for upcoming lessons during the assigned period – all content will be provided. Clear all assessments before showing up in class.

• Demonstrate academic competence in coding and invest time in training to stay updated with the curriculum.

• Facilitate problem-solving with a curious mind and critical thinking skills to teach students with all skills.

• Participate in parent-teacher meetings and communication. Maintain discipline aligned with the school.

• Learners mindset is essential & attendance in Co. training at regular time intervals is mandatory.

Desired Qualifications/Skills (Common)

• Bachelors / Masters Degree in Computer Science/IT required

• Programming skillset (Python/JAVA/HTML/CSS). Python working knowledge is mandatory.

2+ years teaching experience preferred

• Ability to build rapport with school-age students

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Demonstrable records of helping students achieve high test scores preferred.

• Ability to organize tasks and manage time to meet many and varied deadlines.

• Working familiarity with assistive technologies; internet and email systems; and word processing, presentation.

• Familiarity with computers (PC and Apple) and their use in instruction to enhance student learning.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
