Role Description
Department
The Departments of Archaeology, History and History of Art at the University of York are globally renowned for research excellence and are home to internationally leading scholars in their disciplines. The departments of History & History of Art are seeking to appoint a Student Services Administrator to join our student facing administration team. This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of the student experience, where you will play a key role in ensuring that our students receive the highest level of support throughout their academic journey.
Role
As Student Services Administrator, you will be the first point of contact for students, providing clear and professional advice on departmental procedures, course requirements, and available support services. You will play an important part in organising student-facing activities, maintaining accurate student records, updating the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), and coordinating communications such as handbooks and newsletters.
You will work closely with academic and administrative colleagues to support teaching and other academic processes and help coordinate key student milestones. The role also involves signposting students to pastoral or academic support services where appropriate.
