Academic Leadership & Administration: Defines the department’s vision, manages faculty performance, oversees curriculum development for undergraduate/graduate programs, and ensures high-quality teaching.
International Collaborations & Partnerships: Develops, negotiates, and maintains relationships with foreign universities, research institutions, and international organizations.
Strategic Planning: Aligns department goals with university-wide internationalization efforts, monitoring global trends in higher education, and identifying mobility schemes.
Research & Faculty Development: Promotes a strong research culture, secures external research funding, and supports faculty in publishing and participating in academic exchanges.
Student and Staff Exchange: Oversees inbound/outbound mobility programs for students and faculty, often collaborating with academic support units to ensure smooth operations.
Governance & Fundraising: Participates in university committees, manages the departmental budget, and engages in fundraising or securing grants for international projects.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Education: A Ph.D. in International Relations, Political Science, or a closely related field.
Experience: Proven experience in academic leadership, research excellence, and developing international partnerships.
Networking & Negotiation: Strong ability to connect with international stakeholders, negotiate MoUs, and manage cross-cultural relationships.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills and proficiency in multiple languages are often highly valued.
