Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Computer Science & Design Faculty with a strong IB background to teach and mentor students in Computer Science, Design Technology, Computational Thinking, Programming, and Innovation.
The ideal candidate will have deep subject expertise, experience teaching within the International Baccalaureate framework, and the ability to guide students through real-world projects involving coding, design thinking, prototyping, emerging technologies, and digital innovation.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning
- Teach Computer Science and Design Technology within the IB framework (MYP and/or DP).
- Deliver engaging, inquiry-based, and project-driven learning experiences.
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with IB philosophy and curriculum requirements.
- Foster computational thinking, systems thinking, creativity, and innovation among students.
- Support interdisciplinary learning experiences integrating technology, science, engineering, and design.
Computer Science
- Teach programming, algorithms, databases, software development, networking, and emerging technologies.
- Guide students in coding projects, research initiatives, and technology-based problem-solving.
- Encourage participation in coding competitions, hackathons, and innovation challenges.
Design & Innovation
- Teach design thinking methodologies and human-centered problem solving.
- Support students in product design, prototyping, digital fabrication, and innovation projects.
- Facilitate design cycles, project documentation, and portfolio development as required by IB.
Student Mentorship
- Mentor students in academic projects, innovation challenges, exhibitions, and capstone projects.
- Provide guidance on research, experimentation, and presentation skills.
- Support students in developing creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking skills.
Assessment & Documentation
- Design and implement IB-aligned assessments.
- Maintain student portfolios, reports, and assessment records.
- Provide constructive feedback and support student growth.
Collaboration & School Contribution
- Collaborate with faculty across disciplines to develop integrated learning experiences.
- Participate in curriculum planning, school events, parent interactions, and professional development programs.
- Contribute to the school’s innovation, AI, robotics, and future-readiness initiatives.
Eligibility CriteriaEssential Qualifications
- M.E. (Computer Science) / M.Tech (Computer Science) / PhD in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of overall teaching experience.
- Minimum 3+ years of teaching experience in an IB school (MYP and/or DP preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
- IB Category Training (MYP Design, MYP Digital Design, DP Computer Science, or related areas).
- Experience in Design Technology, Innovation Labs, Makerspaces, Robotics, AI, or Emerging Technologies.
- Industry exposure in software development, technology, product design, or innovation will be an added advantage.
Technical Skills
- Programming Languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, or similar.
- Computational Thinking & Algorithm Design.
- AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or Robotics exposure preferred.
- Design Thinking and Product Development methodologies.
- Familiarity with CAD, Digital Design, Prototyping, or Makerspace technologies is desirable.
- Experience with educational technology platforms and digital learning tools.
