Company Description Codeyoung offers coding courses to learners between 5 and 17 years old, with a strong emphasis on hands-on, practical learning. The organization designs a curriculum with clear, measurable learning goals to help students build real-world coding skills. Classes are interactive and highly engaging, encouraging active participation rather than passive listening. Codeyoung follows a student-centric approach, focusing on individual progress and curiosity instead of traditional teacher-led models. This environment is ideal for mentors who enjoy guiding young learners through exploratory and project-based learning.
Role Description This is a part-time, remote role for an Online Python Mentor (UK shift) and the working hours are from 8:30 PM to 1:30 AM. The mentor will conduct live, online Python sessions for school-age learners, following Codeyoung’s curriculum while adapting explanations to different learning levels. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, delivering interactive classes, guiding students through coding exercises and projects, and providing constructive feedback on assignments. The mentor will support students in debugging code, reinforcing core programming concepts, and encouraging problem-solving and creativity. Additional tasks include maintaining attendance and performance records, communicating with support teams when needed, and ensuring a safe, inclusive learning environment during UK shift hours.
