The DAV Group – Chennai, was established in 1970 at Gopalapuram in Chennai with just 50 students. The Group today, caters to over 40,000 students across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. It has a staff of 2000 plus which includes 1,700 teachers. Four of our branches have been consistently ranked amongst top 15 schools in the country.
In addition to K-12 schooling, DAV has recently ventured into Higher Education with DAV-SMK Fomra College of Arts & Science at Kelambakkam, Chennai.
In this context, we are looking for a dedicated and passionate TGT2 Mathematics Teacher to handle Mathematics for Classes 8, 9, and 10 along with Foundation classes for Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda Vidyalaya. The candidate should be capable of delivering engaging lessons, building strong conceptual understanding, and supporting students in achieving academic excellence.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or related subject
- B.Ed. is mandatory
- Prior teaching experience in middle/high school is preferred
Job Description
- Teach Mathematics for Classes 8, 9, and 10
- Handle Foundation classes and strengthen students’ conceptual learning
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, and assessment materials
- Monitor student progress and provide academic support
- Maintain classroom discipline and encourage active participation
- Participate in school activities, meetings, and parent interactions
- Follow school policies and academic guidelines effectively
Salary shall commensurate with experience.
