Job Overview

The Poise Hub is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Primary Section Counselling Teacher to support the emotional, social, and behavioural development of primary-grade learners in a positive online learning environment. The ideal candidate will help children build confidence, emotional awareness, communication skills, and healthy learning habits while working closely with parents and educators.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct age-appropriate counselling and emotional support sessions for primary learners
• Help children develop confidence, communication skills, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour
• Identify learning, behavioural, or emotional challenges and provide supportive guidance
• Support children in overcoming anxiety, shyness, low confidence, or communication barriers
• Maintain a safe, positive, and child-friendly virtual environment
• Provide regular observations and feedback to parents or guardians

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluent spoken and written English communication skills
• Patient, empathetic, and child-centric approach
• Ability to connect with children in a warm and encouraging manner
• Basic understanding of child psychology and emotional development
• Ability to manage virtual sessions effectively
• Creative and interactive approach to counselling and child engagement
• Strong observation and listening skills
