Role: Coding Tutor

Work Location: Work from home

Employment Type: Full-time (Willing to commit for 30/42hrs per week)

Job description:
We are looking for passionate, enthusiastic coders to join Camp K-12 and share their love of coding with kids. This position involves you to teach coding to kids in ages 6 -18 on Camp K-12 online live teaching platform.

Responsibilities:
Teach block-based courses (Scratch/App Development) OR JavaScript-based courses (AI /VR / Web Development) to kids in ages 6-18 via LIVE online classes

Lead a group of students (either 1-on-1 or in small groups) in the online classroom using our online platform and teach the curriculum provided by Camp K-12

Assigning activities to facilitate students’ consolidation of learning material.

Communicate, cooperate, and consult with management, and parents/guardians in the students’ best interest

Work Timings:
Flexible. Teach remotely, from the comfort of your home, and at times that work best for your schedule.

You can choose to work between IST 2 pm to IST 8 pm on weekdays and IST 10 am to IST 8 pm on weekends. Working on weekends is mandatory.

Skills and Qualifications:
Basic familiarity with coding languages (JavaScript – Mandatory, Python – Desirable)

Background or experience in teaching within elementary, middle or high school classrooms is preferred

Prerequisites

A laptop with a clear web camera and working microphone On job training:

Before the applicants start working with students, they are required to go through a series of comprehensive training modules that will help them understand the platform, setting up an online class, curriculum, projects and many more.

Camp K-12 team will provide you the existing curriculum / projects and train you across topics namely AI,3D game development, Web Development, Mobile App Development, Python, or simple block-base coding / visual programming before you start teaching.

Applicants will be trained on the highest grade level /skill set mastered during the interview process.

Compensation:
Commitment – 30 hrs.’/week [Weekend working is compulsory]

o Compensation – Dependent on the number of classes you take (Ideal pay – INR 25k – 30k/month)

o Tenure – Minimum commitment of 3 months

Commitment – 42 hrs.’/week [Weekend working is compulsory]

o Compensation – Dependent on the number of classes you take (Ideal pay – INR 35k – 40k/month)

o Tenure – Minimum commitment of 3 months

Interview Process:
Round 0: Telephonic Interview

Round 1: To test logical reasoning, grammar and coding skills

Rounds 2, 3: Mock teaching rounds

• All interview rounds will happen either on phone or online
