✦ WE’RE HIRING ✦ Founding Faculty
Teacher of Mathematics & Science Part-time, sessional · Remote, Global · Students aged 8 to 16 · Founding cohort, 2026
ABOUT EVER EVOLVING
Ever Evolving is a homeschooling alliance for parents who want their child prepared for the world they will actually grow into, not just the one a standard syllabus was built for. We work online with families around the world, teaching children aged 8 to 16. Our learning is family-led: we draw the best of the world’s curricula into one and shape it deliberately around a single child. Core academics stay where they belong, and around them we weave in the subjects each child genuinely cares about. We revisit and reiterate the plan as and when required, so it keeps evolving as they do.
We promise less. We keep most.
THE ROLE
We are hiring our founding teachers, and a teacher of mathematics and science is among the first we want in the room. This is not a role for someone who wants to deliver a fixed syllabus on repeat. It is for someone who believes maths and science can be taught in a way that genuinely excites a child, sharpens how they think, and meets them where their curiosity actually is.
A child doesn’t fall in love with mathematics. They fall in love with the person teaching it. We pick teachers the way a small orchestra picks musicians: slowly, carefully, and we turn away more than we take.
In short, you will:
→ Teach live sessions in maths and science to homeschooled students aged 8 to 16, most often one-to-one, sometimes in pairs
→ Move away from the orthodox, drill-and-repeat approach and teach in a way that is modern, curiosity-led and genuinely exciting
→ Make the subject think-worthy, building reasoning, intuition and judgement, not just the right answer on the page
→ Connect with both the child and the parent, understanding the child deeply and keeping the parent in the loop
→ Re-shape the curriculum as and when needed, rather than teaching to a fixed structure
→ Work comfortably and creatively with AI, bringing an agent into the room as a tool for learning
WHO YOU ARE
We care far more about how you think and teach than about the letters after your name. You might recognise yourself here:
◆ Aligned with the mission. You believe education should evolve for the world we’re actually in.
◆ A real teacher of maths and science. You know your subjects well enough to play with them.
◆ Child-centric. You build around the child in front of you, never around an average.
◆ Flexible, not rigid. You’re happy to change the plan when the child changes, and you expect to.
◆ An experimenter. You’re excited to try something new and learn out loud alongside us.
◆ Comfortable with AI. You’re at ease bringing modern tools into your teaching.
◆ A genuine communicator. You can hold a real conversation with an eight-year-old, a sixteen-year-old, and a worried parent, all in the same week.
WHAT WE OFFER
→ A founding seat in a young alliance, with a real say in how maths and science are taught here
→ Curious students and invested parents, plus the time and structure to teach them well
→ Long matches: a teacher stays with a child for at least a year, so you see the growth you set in motion
→ Freedom to experiment with how you teach, backed by a fortnightly rhythm of feedback and review
→ Flexible, remote, sessional work that fits around a practising life
HOW TO APPLY
If this sounds like your kind of room, write to us. A short note about how you’d teach a child to love a subject they’re convinced they hate tells us more than any CV.
