You will

• Drive the design and implementation of data platforms and applications, and report directly to the Director of Data Science.
• Lead a small yet talented and diverse team of 5 to set up the entire data practice at Unacademy
• Centralize data engineering of all products and projects and scale all systems.
• Work closely with analytics teams, help them in their challenges and cover data security aspects as well

Requirements:

• 8+ years of full-time experience building scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure products and platforms.
• Experience in building data platforms for capturing, storing, and processing data at a high scale.
• Experience with Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Hive, Presto, Spark, etc.
• Experience with real-time streaming frameworks like Flink, Storm, Spark Streaming, etc
• Excellent with designing large-scale systems and also capable of diving deep into low-level design and coding.
• An incessant problem solver with a data-driven approach.
• Solid ability to build 24*7 systems through monitoring and alerting.
• Experience in Cloud Infrastructure and CI/CD pipeline.
• Experience in distributed databases, REST APIs and design patterns.
• Experience with high-growth startups is a plus.
