Code of Conduct For Principal
Responsibilities of the Head of the College.
1. Academic growth of the College
Participation in the teaching work, research, and training programmes of the College
Assisting in planning and implementation of academic programmes such as orientation courses, seminars, in service and other training programmes organised by the University
Department/College, for academic competence of the Faculty Members.
2. Admission of students and maintenance of records of the students. Maintain discipline of the College.
Management of College, Libraries, Laboratory, Gymkhana and Hostels, if any
3. Receipts, expenditures and maintenance of accounts and submission of monthly statement of accounts to the Management and to the Governing body .
Observance of provisions of Accounts Code.
4. Administration of the College
and supervision of curricular activities, and welfare of the College.
5. Maintenance of all records of the college.
Observance of the Act, Statutes, Ordinances, Regulations, Rules and other Orders issued thereunder from time to time
Supervision of College and University Examinations, setting of question papers, for the College and University Examinations, moderation and assessment of answer papers and such other work pertaining to the Examinations as assigned
Assessing reports of teachers and maintenance of Service Books
Any other work relating to the college as may be assigned to him by the Competent Authority from time to time.
Knowledge of EPFO Act, ESIC Act, Labour Laws, Income tax Act, AICTE, Education policy, etc.
Assessing reports of members of the non-teaching staff, maintenance of their Service
Books and looking after the general welfare of the non-teaching staff
Observance and implementation of directives issued by Government, authorities viz.
Director of Education / Higher Education / University and other concerned authorities.
especially regarding Accounts matters.
5. Probation:
The period of probation of the teacher shall in no case be more than 24 months, on the
expiry of which he will be deemed to be confirmed unless after assessment of this work by the
Committee, his services are terminated by giving him one month’s notice or one month’s salary in lieu of notice.
Overall incharge of the college.
