The cyber Bootcamp is built on a blended model of learning, which combines the best of both online and in-person learning. In the Bootcamp, the platform acts as the teacher: it provides students with constantly updated expert content, as well as a safe environment to practice practical skills in hands-on labs. In contrast, the facilitator’s role is not to teach the students but to support the students’ learning experience and ensure no one is left behind.

The facilitator’s responsibilities include building a sense of community, creating an engaging and interesting experience, monitoring student progress, and offering support when needed. The facilitator will also execute programs focusing on fostering essential soft skills such as self-development, leadership, problem-solving, and preparing students for the job-seeking process.

Roles and responsibilities
· Ensure smooth and effective execution of the Bootcamp

· Facilitate experiential learning, provide context, and invite reflection

· Lead live sessions and activities

· Support Bootcampers’ learning process by answering questions on labs and content and monitoring progress

· Manage issues that may arise and if necessary, connect with the Partner to resolve them

· Collaborate with partner team members to identify improvement opportunities

Requirements
· ~2 years work experience in IT (operating systems, network, or system admin)

· Cybersecurity experience – an advantage

· Experience teaching or facilitating

· Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to “manage a room” – engage participants, speak in public, monitor energy levels

· Ability to follow lesson plans and schedules while also having the flexibility to adapt when needed

· Fast independent learner

· Positive attitude, high energy, and engaging personality

· Compassionate and passionate for helping people learn

The facilitator does not need to be a subject matter expert; however, the facilitator is required to have a background in IT and be comfortable with technology, in order to self-learn the Bootcamp material two weeks ahead of the students and effectively facilitate the content and answer questions.

Contract length: 4 months

Part-time hours: 40 per week
