Role Teaching Faculty(Professor/Associate Professor)

Reporting to Principal

Job Summary Responsible for teaching the assigned courses, keeping up to date with current advancements in course content and teaching pedagogies while being involved in research activities

KRA 1 Classroom Teaching

Roles & 1. Ensure the syllabus is completed before time as per the schedule

responsibilities 2. Make necessary preparations for the class a day before

3. Introduce concepts and learning to the class with best teaching methodologies

4. Clarify doubts and queries of the students during or even after the class

5. Make the best use of available tools and technologies to impart knowledge

6. Update subject knowledge and keep a tab on the latest trends and happening to share updated information with the students

7. Plan lectures and assignments as per the subject curriculum

KPI 1 1. Student feedback on teaching effectiveness

KRA 2 Academic Development

Roles & 1. Ensure classroom sessions are integrated to practical teaching – learning

responsibilities practices

2. Design CA assignments that enhances practical exposure to the subject

3. Live projects to focus on developing entrepreneurship among students

4. Contribute to research targets by converting live projects into case studies

KPI 2 1. Academic development initiatives

KRA 3 Student Support

Roles & 1. Build good rapport with student and provide necessary guidance and support

responsibilities 2. Ensure students abide by all mandated disciplinary procedures

3. Assess student’s academic records by retrieving the data from KnowledgePro and note their improvements

4. Send regular update to parents on attendance and examination marks of student through SMS notification using KnowledgePro

5. Provide mentoring and special coaching support to students based on their performance

KPI 3 1. Student counselling and mentoring initiatives

KRA 4 General Administration

Roles & 1. Ensure recording of attendance of the class regularly on KnowledgePro

responsibilities 2. Perform all examination related duties like invigilation or evaluation with diligence, timely upload of CA marks on KnowledgePro

3. Perform any other activities as directed by HOD/ Principal or Management

4. Coordinate with other departments for mutual sharing of relevant information

5. Connect with parents to update them on their pupil’s performance

6.Provide the necessary information sought by Principal or Management in a timely and accurate manner through regular database updates

7. Coordinate / Perform NAAC work as per the requirement

KPI 4 1. Regularity in recording student attendance

KRA 5 Research Orientation

Roles & 1. Conduct research and experiments to advance knowledge in their field

responsibilities 2. Supervise graduate students in their research assignments and projects

3. Publish research papers and funded research projects, assist HOD/Sr. professors for patent work, fund generation work.

4. Participation in / Organized FDPs, Seminars, Workshops.

KPI 5 1. Number of research papers published
Qualification: Ph.D. Commerce (Preferred); NET qualified (preferred)

Experience: 8 to 15 yrs PG Commerce teaching experience
