Job opening for Institutional equity research associate for BFSI team tracking insurance, asset managers and other diversified financial companies.

Job Description: The associate will undertake detailed and focused sell-side research with an institutional focus on his assigned business sectors and companies. The associate will also work closely with other departments in the organization (corporate finance) on specific projects as required. Details:

• Understand and develop a thorough understanding of the BFSI sector and sub-sectors assigned

• Conduct detailed research (both primary and secondary) on the assigned sectors/companies and generate investment ideas

• Assist in writing and publishing detailed reports and updates (based on company results/major events) on assigned sectors/companies

• Assist in developing/maintaining/updating databases and periodical reports

• Work on client queries

• Attend analyst meets and corporate conference calls

Employee Profile: The associate should at least have a CA or be a MBA from a well known institution. Candidates with CFA qualification or pursuing the program, will be preferred.

• Strong analytical and conceptual skills encompassing finance and related areas of financial investment

• Thorough understanding about various valuation approaches and methods

• Should be confident, hard working, result oriented and a good team player

• Candidates with research experience in banking/financial services will be preferred.
