As a Parenting Coach, you will play a key role in this mission by providing vital support and guidance to new parents, helping them foster their newborn’s development through structured coaching sessions and insightful educational resources.
Responsibilities
- Supporting Parents: Offer empathetic guidance to parents, providing listening ears, practical advice, and moral support to navigate the challenges of newborn care.
- Structured Coaching Sessions: Conduct personalised coaching via video or phone calls, focusing on specific parental concerns, goal setting, and the development of actionable plans.
- Query Resolution: Promptly and efficiently handle parents’ queries through various communication channels, offering accurate information and reassurance.
- Brain Development Activities: Educate parents on early brain development, suggesting engaging activities that stimulate cognitive and sensory skills in newborns.
- Follow-up and Education: Conduct regular follow-up sessions to assess parental progress and continue education on child development fundamentals.
- Positive Discipline and Gentle Parenting: Equip parents with strategies for positive discipline and gentle parenting, promoting a nurturing environment while setting healthy boundaries.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with team members to enhance the user experience throughout the iMumz program, ensuring a coordinated approach to parent support.
- Creative Ideation: Generate and implement creative ideas to enrich the parental experience, developing resources and activities tailored to the needs of new parents.
- Calendar Management and Session Notes: Efficiently manage session scheduling and maintain detailed notes to track progress and actions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Psychology, Child Development, or related field.
- Additional certifications in parenting coaching or child psychology are highly desirable.
- Proven experience in early childhood education, paediatric care, or a related field.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to empathise and connect with diverse clientele.
- Demonstrated ability to counsel effectively, with a strong foundation in adaptive communication strategies.
- Commitment to lifelong learning, with a keen interest in staying updated on the latest child development research and practices.
