Job Summary
The role will work as an integral part of the Global Procurement team at SUN Pharma. It involves procurement for new projects and R&D developments related to primary, secondary & tertiary packaging materials & Supply agreements for all India locations
The Lead will work closely in coordination with global, regional and local vendors to support the development and execution of various packing material procurement categories including special packaging material/devices in all markets for pharma business and develop and implement strategies that align with the company’s overall goals and objectives
Being a high-visibility and high-impact position, the selected candidate(s) will closely work with all stakeholders; multi-disciplinary, in nature.
Area Of Responsibility
Category Lead
- Sourcing and developing new vendor for packaging material including device category
- Negotiate with vendors and manufacturers (price, terms & conditions) to obtain the best prices and secure continuous supply of materials.
- Enable to handle cost estimation and zero-base costing on basis of techno commercial understanding.
- Responsible for Supply agreements, CDA, development agreement, work plan agreements with current and proposed vendors for commercialised and new projects.
- Establish and implement vendor development programs to ensure continuous improvement (mitigate supply risk and cost advantage).
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and growth.
- Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related for global market.
- Ensuring the timely availability of licences required for imports of devices and other categories ( MD-17 & MD-15 licence applications).
- Preparing and sharing monthly MIS report to cross functional teams
- Support R&D for sourcing of new materials and obtain technical documents as required.
- Support on timely launch for new products.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring that all savings targets are achieved.
- Preparing and supporting annual budget related to responsible categories
- Drive cost optimization projects.
- Provide developmental opportunities to the team in order to enable them to take up higher responsibilities in future.

Technical Competencies
- Knowledge of special packaging material / devices for different market requirements (Regulated, Emerging, Domestic etc)
- In depth knowledge of packaging material used in different categories of drug administration (OSD and NOSD)
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Power Point)

Experience
