Job Description
As a Trainer, you will be responsible for providing theoretical and on-line system training for Customer Processing Representatives (CPR) in the office. You will also be required to assist in reviewing training materials and assist with communication to the teams. In your role, you will act as a senior technical resource and may be called upon by other departments for feedback. In times of no training, you may be asked to assist with backlog or with other projects.
Accountabilities:
• Keeping up to date with all processes and technology using hands-on experience
• Training and development of new CPRs, performing quality reviews, monitoring progress and action plans with the Associate Manager and seeing them through to the audit stream
• Ongoing learning and skill acquisition of CPRs
• Identifying and eliminating inefficiencies
• Solving unusual or unique problems and issues using all resources and/or contacts available
• Being an exemplary role model for others, promoting professionalism and a collaborative environment
• Communicating and distributing appropriate and accurate information
• Working closely with the Associate Manager, pro-acting for the development and enhancement of individual and team performance
Required Competencies and Behaviors:
• Customer service focused with a positive, can-do attitude
• Skilled in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English
• Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal (must be comfortable speaking in front of a classroom of trainees)
• Organized and able to work in a dynamic and changing environment
• Self-motivated with an ability to effectively multi-task and be comfortable with tight deadlines; results oriented
• Ability to instill quality and efficiency in day-to-day activities/processes

• Use of sound judgment in decision making
• Working knowledge of rules and regulations as they relate to GRS products is an asset

• The role requires a flexible work schedule in start and end times
• Knowledge of investment/retirement arrangements and/or business processes within Group Retirement Services would be an asset
Flexible to work in 4.30pm to 1.30am/6.30pm to 3.30am shift
