Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to students with a range of disabilities or special needs in a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, in collaboration with parents, school administrators, and other members of the educational team.
• Adapt instructional materials and teaching techniques to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students with special needs.
• Provide direct instruction in academic subjects, life skills, social skills, and other areas of development as outlined in students’ IEPs.
• Assess student progress and development using a variety of assessment tools and techniques, and adjust instructional strategies as needed to support student learning.
• Create a positive and supportive classroom environment where students feel safe, valued, and respected.
• Collaborate with other teachers, support staff, and related service providers to coordinate services and ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to meeting students’ needs.
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress, discuss concerns, and solicit feedback on student goals and objectives.
• Participate in professional development activities and stay current on best practices and developments in the field of special education.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Valid teaching certification.
• Previous experience working with students with disabilities or special needs preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
• Patience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for working with children with special needs.
• Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students.
