Job Title: Head Senior School
Reports to: Principal, Mayo College Ajmer
Job Summary: The Head Senior School at Mayo College, Ajmer reports directly to the Principal and helps to plan, coordinate, and direct the academic and other activities of the School. As the second in the hierarchy, the Head Senior School must provide and ensure the necessary balance. Assisting the Principal in administrative matters pertaining to the internal functioning of the school and is overall in charge of the main functions of the School. The Head Senior School must support the Principal on almost all matters pertaining to Academics as well as acting as a key link to the Staff, Students, and Parents.
Brief of Duties and Responsibilities:
I. ACADEMIC RELATED DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To officially correspond with parents, CBSE, CAIE, and various schools, etc.
- To coordinate with various academic departments for the smooth functioning of the school.
- To coordinate with the HMs, HODs, and Staff for various school events, parent-teacher meetings, etc.
- To ensure supervision of classroom teaching and secure cooperation and coordination amongst teachers of the same subject/area as well as inter-subject/inter-disciplinary and trans-disciplinary coordination.
- Coordinate with various departments/faculty members for interdisciplinary and concept-based teaching classes.
- Coordinate with the Director Academics to organize result meetings with subject teachers of classes VII to XII.
II. AFFILIATED CURRICULUM-RELATED:
- To ensure proper conduct of CBSE / CAIE spot evaluation at Mayo College Centre.
- Conduct of CBSE & CAIE Theory and Practical Exams of Classes X & XII (and other relevant classes).
- Coordinating with the CAIE School Coordinator as an approving authority and for proposals to be made and executed from time to time.
III. PASTORAL:
- To support the Principal in smooth functioning of Pastoral Programme of the school.
- To ensure the cleanliness, hygiene, and safety of all Stakeholders in the School Community, and suggest measures for the constant improvement of School Systems and environment.
- To keep the Principal informed about any pastoral concerns.
- Assign House and section to all the students and tutors in consultation with the Principal.
IV. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To assist the Principal in the implementation of all official policies ensuring the smooth functioning of the school.
- To assist the Principal in the orientation of new staff members and students ensuring that they are settled in the school environment/work schedule.
- Responsible for Appraisal review of Academic Staff.
- Receiving budget proposals from various HODs, Director Music School, Director Cultural Activities, and Sports Coordinator.
- Preparation of the College Calendar in consultation with the School Principal.
- Any other duties assigned by the Principal from time to time.

Essential Requirements-
- Postgraduate with a B. Ed. Degree (Regular) from a well-known university and have proficiency in the English Language.
- Teaching experience in Senior & Middle School for over 10 years.
- Age bracket within 50 years.
- Have held a School Management Position for at least five years preferably in a residential or day-boarding school affiliated to CBSE curriculum.
- Experience of working in an International Curriculum School would be an advantage.
- Lead in evolving best creative teaching practices and integrating technology into the School curriculum.
- Be well-versed with the latest global trends in education, proficient in encouraging co-curricular, cultural, and sports activities, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
