Key Result Areas (KRAs) of the Mentor in the Vidyapeeth Residential Program (VP-RP) can be framed as follows:
1. Student Management:
– Create a supportive and inclusive environment for students.
– Foster positive relationships and effective communication among students.
– Address academic and non-academic issues raised by students.
– Guide students to overcome challenges and perform better.
2. Schedule Management:
– Ensure students follow their daily schedules and routines.
– Monitor and track students’ progress in completing tasks and assignments.
– Assist students in time management and prioritizing their activities.
3. Discipline and Attendance:
– Maintain discipline among students, ensuring adherence to rules and regulations.
– Monitor attendance during the offline classes and report any irregularities.
– Address any behavioral issues promptly and appropriately.
4. Financial Management:
– Ensure timely collection of hostel consulting fees from service providers to PW in coordination with the Central Finance Team
– Communicate with students and parents regarding fee payments and any financial concerns.
5. Parent Communication:
– Regularly update parents/guardians about the progress, concerns, and achievements of students.
– Timely communication of any issues or feedback received from students or teachers.
6. Doubt Resolution and Resource Management:
– Collect and collate students’ doubts and communicate them to the Doubt faculty.
– Coordinate the distribution of study materials, modules, and Daily Practice Papers (DPP).
– Ensure timely access to required resources for students’ academic development.
7. Emotional Support:
– Build a rapport with students and provide emotional support.
– Listen attentively to students’ concerns and provide guidance and motivation.
– Create a positive and nurturing environment for students’ overall well-being.
8. Test Management:
– Ensure students take scheduled tests and examinations.
– Supervise the test-taking process and manage logistics.
– Facilitate the evaluation and feedback process to students.
9. Study Material
- Ensuring timely availability of content (notes/workbook/test paper) at center/hostel in coordination with central DTP/BM team
- Ensuring timely updates of results / test paper of MEGA test on APP in coordination with BM
- Timely distribution of Mind Maps/WorkBooks/ PYQ study material to students
10. Transportation and Accompaniment:
– Oversee transportation for students to and from the offline campus.
– Accompany students during their travels and ensure their safety and well-being.
11. Facility Management in coordination with Hostel Warden
– Ensure the maintenance and cleanliness of the hostel premises.
– Supervise the upkeep of rooms, common areas, and amenities.
– Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and renovations as required.
– Monitor the availability and functioning of essential facilities like electricity, water supply, and security systems.
12. Safety and Security:
– Implement and enforce safety protocols and emergency procedures.
– Monitor access control and security measures in the hostel.
– Address and report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
– Collaborate with relevant authorities to ensure the well-being and security of hostel residents.
– Address Parent’s concern in regard to their ward safety
13. Administrative Tasks:
– Manage hostel registration, attendance, biometric check-in, and check-out processes.
– Maintain accurate records of hostel residents, their details, and occupancy status.
– Handle inquiries, complaints, and requests from hostel residents.
– Coordinate with administrative staff for necessary documentation and record-keeping.
14. Rules and Discipline:
– Establish and enforce hostel rules and regulations.
– Promote a culture of discipline and mutual respect among residents.
– Address disciplinary issues or conflicts among residents.
– Collaborate with mentors and relevant staff to maintain a conducive learning environment.
15. Health and Hygiene:
– Promote and enforce cleanliness and hygiene practices in the hostel.
– Ensure the availability of basic amenities such as clean drinking water and sanitation facilities.
– Collaborate with healthcare professionals or institutions for medical assistance and support.
16. Emergency Preparedness:
– Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
– Conduct regular drills and training sessions for hostel residents and staff.
– Coordinate with relevant authorities for emergency services and support.
17. Food Arrangements:
- Coordinating with Mess/Catering service provider for timely availability of good quality food
- Tiffin service availability at the VP center for alternate days
- Regular food quality checks with mess cook to avoid any health issues (like food poisoning) for our students
- Ensuring availability of foods on mess off days
- Ensuring snacks/packed food in case required as per student’s demand
