Job Title: Academic Counselor

Location: Panchkula, Haryana, India

Work Week – 6 days/week (Mon-Sat)

Role Summary:

We are seeking passionate and experienced Academic Counselors for our new offline Undergraduate Centers. As an Academic Counselor, you will play a crucial role in guiding underclassmen through their educational pathways, helping them to select appropriate courses, choose their majors, and identify enriching extracurricular opportunities including study abroad programs. Your advice will help shape their academic and career futures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personalized counseling to students on academic and career-related decisions.
• Assist students in understanding their educational options and developing academic strategies.
• Help students select courses and majors that align with their personal and career goals.
• Advise on opportunities for scholarships, internships, study abroad programs, and other extracurricular activities.
• Monitor student progress and provide support to ensure they remain on track to meet their educational objectives.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of degree requirements and educational developments.
• Collaborate with faculty and other institutional departments to enhance student support services.
• Conduct workshops and presentations to educate students about opportunities and resources available to them.
• Develop and maintain relationships with students, providing a supportive and motivational academic environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience as an Academic Counselor or in a similar role, preferably in an educational setting.
• Strong understanding of the challenges and needs of undergraduate students.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse student population.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Empathy and an approachable demeanor, with a genuine interest in helping students succeed.
